General Manager – The Bastrop County Water Control and Improvement District 2 is in search of a General Manager. The District is located in Bastrop TX and provides water and wastewater services to the Tahitian Village. In addition, a majority of the activities are associated with operating a Road District.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background with a strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations and operations. Knowledge of accounting and other financial matters is necessary for the position.
The District is growing rapidly and there are many challenges ahead. The Bastrop area has many good things to offer those who reside here. The District offers very competitive and desirable benefits. Salary will be influenced by experience and qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
- 5 years management experience in water and/or wastewater operations.
- Associates Degree, prefer a Bachelors Degree.
- Knowledge of office computer systems – Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with regulations and regulatory processes.
- Knowledge of HR functions and personnel matters.
- Ability to make public presentations and represent the District in Public forums
- Must be a self starter who desires to constantly improve the operations and expectations
- 10 years of management experience
- Demonstrated ability to administer dynamic construction activities
- Engineering Degree
