Irrigation Permit

Follow the steps below to obtain a permit to install a irrigation system.

  1. Gather Required Information

    The following information is needed to complete your application:
    • Physical Address
    • Property ID from Bastrop County Appraisal District (BCAD)
    • Lot #
    • Block
    • Unit

  2. Collect & Complete Other Required Documents

    • Site Plan must include the following items that are applicable:
    ◦ Drawn to a scale no greater than 1”=60’ or include measurements in feet
    ◦ All Structures Existing or Proposed
    ◦ Indicate North
    ◦ Water Wells, Water Lines, On-Site Sewage Facilities (OSSF), Sewer Lines
    ◦ Identify Floodplain and Easements
    ◦ Label Streets

    • Survey or Plat:
    A copy of the plat is acceptable for recorded subdivisions. Otherwise, a survey map is required. When the property contains floodplain, the survey should delineate flood zones, floodway, proposed home foot prints, drainage easements, correct FIRM panel number (dated 1/19/2006), and any other information needed for review.

    • Proof of Ownership: A copy of the deed is required if appraisal district records (www.bastropcad.org) do not reflect current owner.

    • Copies of Other Required Permits

    • Permit Application Fee ($75)

  3. Apply for Your Permit

    Submit a completed permit application to our office or via online. An incomplete permit application will not be processed or approved and will be returned to the applicant. The online permit application can be found at https://bcwcid2.org/pool-permit-form

  4. Approval from the Property Owners’ Association

    Approval from the Property Owners’ Association is required prior to the construction, installation, repair, or alteration of a swimming pool or spa. The property owner should contact
    the appropriate Property Owners’ Association for any additional requirements.

  5. Respond to Our Comments (if applicable)

    If the District has provided comments on your application, action is required by you to address the comments. The review process will be paused until you have responded sufficiently to each comment.

  6. Receive the Permit

    Once your application is approved, you will receive an e-mail notification.

  7. Schedule Inspections

    After you receive your permit, you must schedule the following inspections. Additional inspections may be required. Pre-construction meeting with environmental to determine applicable inspections.
